Your help is urgently needed to make Christmas happen for thousands of children, men and women in Ottawa this year.Over 10,000 families are waiting for help through the Christmas Exchange Program, but the funds raised to date have only helped 4,000 families, leaving over 6,000 without assistance so far.
These are people who through no fault of their own find themselves in a time of need because of sudden work lay-off, illness, death of the family breadwinner, or as a result of spousal abandonment leaving the children behind. Every case is different and deserving.
Your financial gift will make a tangible difference in the lives of those you help. In return, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing that a family with children, or a senior on their own, will be able to share in the joy of Christmas. You may not know their names, but they will carry their thanks in their hearts. Please make Christmas happen for these families by donating online or by calling 613-226-6434. If you have a 'hard-to-shop-for' friend or loved one on your holiday gift list, why not make a gift donation in their name? Or get them this unique ornament! The Christmas Exchange Program Please also share this message with your network, friends and family!

As we head into the Fall, Christmas is not that far away. We are asking for your help for families again this year. Families, who through no fault of their own, find themselves in a time of need. Families like Marie's (name has been changed to protect privacy) who asked for help for the first time last year.
In order to keep up with the bills the family was forced to sell their home and move into rental housing. During this period, Marie, who will be celebrating her 40th wedding anniversary this year, had to sell her diamond ring to pay bills and buy food.
